Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDENE) is a non-profit organization devoted to improving the w
ell-being and quality of life of Acadians and Francophones in Nova Scotia. Assisting and supporting the provincial Acadian and Francophone regions with
economic development,
employability and
promotion of the Acadian and Francophone business community, the CDENE facilitates economic diversity and growth.

- Our head office in Halifax oversees daily operations and works with French businesses in Nova Scotia to increase their visibility and expose
them to new provincial, national and international markets. It also works with partners to promote acadian tourism as well as immigration in Nova Scotia.
- Our Community Development Officers work within the five main Acadian/French-speaking regions in the province ((Argyle, Clare, Cheticamp, Isle Madame and Halifax) in order to facilitate parternships and projects with public, private sectors and community groups which contribute to our communitie`s economic growth and vitality.
- Our university business development centre, the Centre d'aide en affaires et en entrepreneuriat (CAAE) offers high quality services (in both official languages) to new and seasoned entrepreneurs.
- Our employment resources centres, Services à l'emploi Clare-Argyle, assist Nova Scotians who are looking for work.
