The CDENE's efforts to promote immigration in Nova Scotia's French Acadian regions has two main objectives:
  • Help candidates who are interested in immigrating to Nova Scotia and who speak French find work and/or start a business.
  • Support employers in their efforts to recruit and hire international candidates.

Are you an employer looking to connect with skilled international workers?

Are you new to Canada and wish to start your own business or need help with your business ventures?

Our Business Advisor for Immigrant Entrepreneurs, Allison Lamey, works with immigrants (permanent residents or new citizens) in the Halifax region who would like to set up a business or who need help in understanding and operating a business in Nova Scotia. -The CDENE will soon be launching a mentoring program for French-speaking immigrant entrepreneurs who would like to learn more about business practices in Canada by being matched up to seasoned entrepreneurs.
