Blaine D. LeBlanc, new Employer Engagement Specialist – Chéticamp (Inverness County)

Halifax, December 1, 2022 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Blaine D. LeBlanc as Bilingual Employment Engagement Specialist for parts of Inverness County. His start date was on November 7, 2022.

Blaine D. LeBlanc (he/il) was born and raised in Chéticamp, Nova Scotia. He joins CDÉNÉ’s Employment Services team as a bilingual Employer Engagement Specialist (EES). His role includes assisting employers in Inverness County with their recruitment and retention process as well as cultivating new relationships through employer consultation meetings.

Blaine has worked in customer service and frontline operations for over a decade in the hospitality, education, and the private sector. Working in diverse environments has sharpened his ability to navigate each relationship with nuance and an understanding of challenges unique to different industries.

After completing his Bachelor of Arts at Carleton University, where he majored in Human Rights with a minor in Spanish, Blaine relocated to Toronto and worked for The Canadian Institute (C5 Group of Companies), a global legal and business conference company.

A few years later, Blaine returned to Nova Scotia and began working for Access Nova Scotia, honing his customer service skills again and later with the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) system at NDA school where he worked as a tutor and teacher's aide.

Blaine is passionate about human relations and he looks forward to addressing the needs of his community through his work at CDÉNÉ.
