Carole Aucoin, new Economic Development, Employability and Innovation Officer for the Chéticamp/Saint-Joseph-du-Moine area

Halifax, September 11, 2022 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to
announce the appointment of Carole Aucoin as Economic Development, Employability and
Innovation Officer for the Chéticamp/Saint-Joseph-du-Moine area. Her start date was August
29, 2022.

Throughout her career, Carole mostly worked for non-profit organizations such as Équipe
Alphabétisation N-É, La Société Saint-Pierre, and La Coopérative Radio Chéticamp. She is a
Université Sainte-Anne graduate from the program Technologie des affaires (Business
Technology) and is fully bilingual. She’d been living in Alberta for 10 years when she decided to
accept this job in order to return to her roots to surround herself with members of her family,
friends and the ocean.

area and working alongside the leaders on these projects. I anticipate meeting up with people I
already know along with being introduced to new ones involved in these endeavors.”
