Réanne Cooper, new Sustainable Development Advisor

Church Point, November 15, 2022 - The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Réanne Cooper as a Sustainable Development Advisor, serving small businesses, social enterprises and non-profit organizations in the Acadian and Francophone communities across the province. She started her new position on November 7, 2022 at the Church Point office.

Réanne Cooper holds a Master's degree in Management (M.Sc.) from Université de Moncton and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration - International Commerce from Université Sainte-Anne. As part of her Master's thesis, Réanne focused on international student entrepreneurship. In July 2021, she had the pleasure of being one of four young diplomats from Canada to participate in the United Nations High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. This experience allowed her to see the influence that small and medium sized businesses can have on the economic, social and environmental development of our communities.
Professionally, Réanne held the position of Communications Officer at the New Brunswick Arts Board from June 2019 to August 2020. This allowed her to develop many communication skills and work as a team to develop their communication plan and strategy.
"I am very thankful to be in my home province of Nova Scotia to help and contribute to the economic and sustainable development of our Francophone and Acadian communities. These are areas and topics that are close to my heart and that I am passionate about, so I look forward to working with the CDÉNÉ team and its members to set up this project, set goals and achieve them together."
