Mariama Sene, new Employer Engagement Specialist
Halifax, October 21, 2020 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Mariama Sene as the new Employer Engagement Specialist. Her start date was October 19th, 2020. Her role on the Employment Services team at CDÉNÉ, Nova Scotia Works System, is to assist employers in the Clare and Argyle regions with employee recruitment and retention.

On or without an appointment, clients will be invited to complete a short self-screening form upon arrival. -
COVID-19: the CDÉNÉ team is back in the office and receives by appointment
Halifax, August 17, 2020 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce that its entire team is back in its respective offices in the regions and in Halifax.
If no exposure has occurred, a maximum number of clients (depending on space limitations and physical distance rules) are allowed to enter the facility at the same time by appointment only. -

Halifax, June 29, 2020 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) congratulates the new members of the Organizing Committee of the Congrès mondial acadien 2024 (COCMA 2024), appointed on June 22, 2020: Denise Babin, Adrien Comeau, Roger d’Entremont, Brandon Doucette, Brenda LaGrandeur, Angelique LeBlanc, and Yalla Sangaré, who join Allister Surette (Chair), Chris Frotten (Vice-Chair, Argyle), Natalie Robichaud (ViceChair, Clare), Nadine Comeau (Treasurer) and Lynette Muise (Secretary). -

Halifax, June 19, 2020 – In these troubled times, the Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) expresses its full support for the anti-racism and anti-discrimination movement.
Integrity, inclusiveness and fairness are values that have been ardently defended by the CDÉNÉ since its inception. Economic immigration and support for immigrant entrepreneurs are major issues here at CDÉNÉ. Racism is not an option and will never be tolerated!
Thus, the CDÉNÉ proudly expresses its support for Black communities in Nova Scotia and around the world. There is great hope for positive change!
