COVID-19: the CDÉNÉ postpones its group activities
Halifax, March 17, 2020 – Due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is deferring activities that involve face-to-face meetings between its employees and the public in its offices, classrooms or any other location, until they are deemed appropriate again. This decision follows, among other things, the recommendation of the Government of Nova Scotia to avoid direct contact with others (staying at least two metres or six feet away from each other) in order to do our part in minimizing the spread of the virus. Allison d'Eon, new Economic Development Officer for Argyle
Halifax, February 14, 2020 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Allison d'Eon as the new Economic Development Officer for Argyle. Her start date was February 10th, 2020.
Allison grew up in Belleville and Pubnico, two small Acadian communities in Southwestern Nova Scotia. Allison has been very involved in the Francophone and Acadian community and has built a strong relationship with its members following her extensive tourism and social media marketing experience. In May 2017, she graduated from Acadia University with her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Professionally, she has worked in the tourism industry, event planning, and customer service. -
Erin Ryan, new Economic Development Officer for Isle Madame
Halifax, December 20, 2019 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the hiring of Erin Ryan as the new Economic Development Officer for Isle Madame. Her start date was December 2nd.
Erin was born and raised in Arichat, a small francophone community on Isle Madame in Nova Scotia. At a young age, Erin was actively involved in the tourism industry and the Francophone community. In May 2011, she graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BAA). Professionally, she has worked for the Canadian government, but also in the financial sector and management. Her knowledge of the community and its members will be a wonderful asset. -

Gwen LeBlanc, new Manager of Community Economic Development and Innovation Services
Halifax, November 15, 2019 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Gwen LeBlanc as Manager of Community Economic Development and Innovation Services. Gwen transitioned to her new position as manager on November 12.
Gwen LeBlanc is from Wedgeport, Nova Scotia and a graduate of Université Sainte-Anne. She started at CDÉNÉ in 2009, as a Community Economic Development Officer representing the Argyle region.
