Tanya Comeau, new Project Coordinator for French language employment services delivery in Nova Scotia Works centres province-wide

Halifax, May 20, 2020 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Tanya Comeau as the new Project Coordinator for French language employment services delivery in Nova Scotia Works centres province-wide. Her start date was April 1st, 2020.

Tanya was born and raised in Clare, a small francophone Acadian community in southwestern Nova Scotia. She has been working in the field of employability, particularly at CDÉNÉ, since 2002. Throughout this rewarding career, Tanya has always worked to help people achieve their career goals. In 1997, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (B.A./B.Ed.) from Université Sainte-Anne. In 2016, she obtained her certification as a Career Development Professional through the Nova Scotia Career Development Association. Tanya has also been a volunteer member of the Clare Community Health Board since 2017 to help improve the health and well-being of her community.

"I am very pleased to be part of the CDÉNÉ and to accept the position of Project Coordinator for the delivery of employment services in French within the Nova Scotia Works provincial network," she said. "The goal of the French Language Services Delivery Service is to provide quality employment services in French to Nova Scotia's Acadian and francophone communities and to contribute to its maintenance and growth. The program aims to develop and improve the principles and practices of diversity and inclusion in the delivery of employment services in the Nova Scotia system."
