Sydney Newell, new Career Practitioner for Clare
Halifax, September 13, 2021 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Sydney Newell as the new Career Practitioner for Clare. Her start date was August 23rd, 2021.
Sydney was born and raised in Dayton, a small town in Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. Sydney has extensive case management experience as well as experience working and collaborating with community-based organizations. In 2021, Sydney graduated from Dalhousie University with a B.A in Law, Justice and Society. From a young age Sydney has been an active volunteer in her community and hopes to be able to continue volunteering in her new community in Clare. Professionally, Sydney has worked for Tri-County Restorative Justice. Prior to her education at Dalhousie, Sydney was an immersion student and appreciates the value of being able to work and communicate with the public in both official languages. Her knowledge of community-based approaches to public service delivery and experience working with youth and adults will be a great asset.

"I hope to be able to apply my experience and knowledge at the CDÉNÉ to help the people of Clare navigate their employment journey.
