Ms. Julie Oliver announces her departure as Executive Director of the CDÉNÉ

Halifax, October 12, 2021 – After careful consideration, Julie Oliver has decided to leave as Executive Director of the Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ).

The official date of Ms. Oliver's departure is December 31, 2021. In the meantime, to ensure the best possible transition, Ms. Oliver will remain available to the Board of Directors, CDÉNÉ employees and partners.

Ms. Oliver has dedicated 17 years to the economic development of the Acadian and francophone regions throughout the province of Nova Scotia, in both rural and urban settings. Throughout her tenure overseeing the overall management of the organization, she has also maintained excellent relationships with funding partners through her professionalism in project management practices and diligence in respecting deadlines and funding agreements.

"I am pleased to have contributed to the economic growth of the Acadian and francophone regions and to the evolution of CDÉNÉ. I leave CDÉNÉ in good financial, organizational and stable condition" says Ms. Oliver. "I have enjoyed working with the CDÉNÉ Board of Directors and a team of dedicated staff over the years. I am proud of the accomplishments we were able to achieve together. It has been a rewarding experience and I leave with many fond memories. I wish the Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse, the CDÉNÉ, a long and successful future."

"I would like to thank Ms. Oliver for her years of service and dedication to CDÉNÉ," said Mr. Allister Surette, Chair of the Board of Directors. "Accountable to a Board of Directors and with offices and staff from one corner of the province to the other, Ms. Oliver has provided the leadership required to deliver a variety of services in business, entrepreneurship, employment, community economic development and francophone economic immigration in support of the Acadian and francophone community in this province. We are very grateful of her many accomplishments."
