Marcienne Deveau, new Case Manager in Clare.

Halifax, July 11, 2022 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcienne Deveau as Case Manager in Clare. Her start date was March 5, 2022.

Marcienne grew up in St. Alphonse, an Acadian community in the Clare region of Nova Scotia.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Athabasca University.   At the age of 20, she moved to Alberta and worked for about 15 years in the small village of Provost.  In 2020, she decided to return to her native community of Clare with her young family.

Professionally, she has always worked in human services.  Her career has given her the opportunity to have a variety of experiences with groups of all ages.  She has worked in recreation with seniors, as well as in early childhood education in the classroom and in administration.  She still runs a small rental real estate business, another small passion besides helping others.

She loves being involved in her community and this is one of the reasons why the opportunity to work at CDENÉ was of great interest to her.  In addition, as a mother of 2 children, she became a volunteer member of the Board of Directors of CAPENÉ (Centre d'appui à la petite enfance de la Nouvelle-Écosse).

"I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work at the CDÉNÉ.  I am happy to be involved in my Acadian  community and to help job seekers, newcomers to the region or those who, like me, are looking for a new start!”
