The CDÉNÉ Announces Activities for SME Week 2015

Halifax, October 14, 2015
– The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) invites the Acadian and Francophone community to participate in activities marking Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) Week. Many activities are scheduled for the southwestern part of the province and Cape Breton around the theme of SMEs, including networking breakfasts, a career fair and activities for students in the PASB. The activities will be a chance for members of the community to learn more about SMEs and to meet entrepreneurs in the region.

Schedule of activities for SME Week 2015:

Monday, October 19
8:15 to 8:30: Launch of SME Week at École Beau-Port in Arichat.
3:00 to 5:00: Opening of SME Week and meet-and-greet for students and local entrepreneurs at École NDA in Chéticamp.

Tuesday, October 20
7:30 to 8:30: Networking breakfast on the theme of SMEs at École secondaire de Clare in La Butte.

Wednesday, October 21
9:30 to 10:30: Networking breakfast on the theme of SMEs at École secondaire de Par-en-Bas in Tusket.
10:30 to 12:30: Career fair at the Community Centre in École secondaire de Par-en-Bas in Tusket.
3:00 to 5:00: Meet-and-greet for students and local entrepreneurs at École Beau-Port in Arichat.

During the week, students at École Beau-Port will also be able to participate in a contest to discover businesses in the region. Prizes are two mini iPads offered by Groupe Premium and Entreprises Samson.

The CDÉNÉ wishes to thank its partners in sponsoring these activities, including the Argyle Chamber of Commerce, the Clare Chamber of Commerce, the Municipality of Argyle, the Provincial Acadian School Board, the Municipality of Richmond County, Groupe Premium, Entreprises Samson and the Community Business Development Corporation (CBDC).
