Visitez Nouvelle-Écosse: the acadian tourism initiative
Visitez Nouvelle-Écosse is a CDÉNÉ initiative dedicated to promoting Acadian tourism in Nova Scotia.
The initiative showcases the cultural, historical, and natural attractions of these communities to increase their visibility, attract visitors, and highlight welcoming regions where people can live, work, and thrive.Visitez Nouvelle-Écosse: the project
Through various promotional and destination marketing initiatives, the project helps raise the profile of Acadian and Francophone regions among visitors from across Canada and beyond. It highlights their heritage, culture, cuisine, events, and tourism attractions to encourage the discovery of these communities and support their economic development.
The project also aims to encourage visitors to extend their stay in Nova Scotia's Acadian regions and experience the diversity of activities and experiences they have to offer.
VisitezNE.ca
Developed by CDÉNÉ, VisitezNE.ca serves as the project's primary digital platform. Available in both French and English, the website features touring itineraries, an events calendar, news articles, and tourism information about Nova Scotia's Acadian and Francophone regions.
Plan Your Trip
VisitezNE.ca allows visitors to plan their trip by selecting a departure point — Amherst, Digby, Halifax, Sydney, or Yarmouth — as well as the length of their stay. Detailed itineraries ranging from 3 to 14 days are available to help travellers explore the province's Acadian regions.
Each itinerary provides day-by-day suggestions for activities, attractions, and points of interest tailored to different travel preferences. The routes highlight several iconic sites that reflect Acadian history and culture, including Grand-Pré National Historic Site and the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site.
Discover Acadian Regions
The website also provides information about communities, attractions, events, and experiences throughout Nova Scotia's Acadian and Francophone regions. Photos, videos, and links to regional tourism partners help visitors learn more about the destination and plan their visit.
VisitezNE.ca also promotes the Chemin de l'Acadie Passport, a geocaching-inspired activity that encourages visitors to explore Acadian communities across the province in a fun and interactive way.
