Le Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDENE) is officially launching the 3rd edition of the Sustainable Development Recognition Awards, as part of the IMPACT Project – Toward a Responsible and Sustainable Economy in Atlantic Canada. 

This call for applications is open to businesses and organizations in a francophone or Acadian region in Nova Scotia that are implementing responsible, innovative, and sustainable initiatives. Submitted projects must contribute to at least one of the three pillars of sustainable development: economic, environmental, or social. 

Why Apply?

Taking part in the Sustainable Development Recognition Awards allows you to:

  • Showcase your environmental and social best practices 
  • Increase your organization’s visibility across Nova Scotia 
  • Highlight your commitment to a sustainable economy 
  • Inspire other organizations to adopt responsible practices 

Eligible Projects and Initiatives

Sustainable development initiatives may include, but are not limited to:

  • Integrating sustainability into your organization’s mission and strategy
  • Developing environmentally friendly products or services
  • Adopting responsible procurement practices
  • Reducing waste through recycling and reuse
  • Improving energy efficiency and water management
  • Implementing sustainable internal practices
  • Strengthening community and social engagement
  • Promoting employee well-being and participation
  • Developing or formalizing a sustainability plan

Any initiative that contributes to the transition toward a responsible and sustainable economy in Atlantic Canada is eligible.
