Amadou Niang, new Economic Development, Employability and Innovation Officer

Halifax, July 13, 2022 – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Amadfou Niang as an Economic Development, Employability and Innovation Officer. His start date was July 04, 2022.

Amadou is originally from Senegal, specifically Ziguinchor in southern Senegal. He arrived in Nova Scotia in 2014 as an international student.

He graduated from Université Sainte-Anne with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2018 and moved to Montreal to be closer to his family. He worked in finance with the National Bank before returning to Nova Scotia in 2021 to join the CSAP human resources team.

He is passionate about culture, sports, and especially football. He plays Pickleball regularly with the community on Isle Madame. He loves to travel across Canada's provinces and territories.

"I am very honored to join the CDÉNÉ team. The economic development of the Acadian and Francophone community is one of my priorities. I will bring all my leadership to collaborate with the different partners and work on projects that will benefit the community and the achievement of CDÉNÉ's objectives.
