Mentoring
Mentorship is a relationship in which the mentor voluntarily invests their time and shares their knowledge and skills with a less experienced individual (mentee) who wishes to benefit from this exchange and takes steps to make it happen. This entrepreneurial mentoring program pairs emerging entrepreneurs with seasoned entrepreneurs.
Why This Mentorship Program?
La Chambre de commerce francophone de Halifax (CCFH) envisions the French-speaking business community in the Halifax region as committed to its sustainability and professional development. With this in mind, CCFH in collaboration with its partners CDÉNÉ, the YMCA and HRM, identified the need for a mentoring program and decided to launch an entrepreneurship mentoring program.
Duration of Mentorship Pairing
- Each pairing will last six (6) months, with approximately 4 to 5 hours of mentorship per month, for a total of around 24 to 30 hours of mentorship.
- A mentor will be paired with one mentee at a time.
