  • The CDÉNÉ Announces Activities for SME Week 2015

    Halifax, October 14, 2015
    – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) invites the Acadian and Francophone community to participate in activities marking Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) Week. Many activities are scheduled for the southwestern part of the province and Cape Breton around the theme of SMEs, including networking breakfasts, a career fair and activities for students in the PASB. The activities will be a chance for members of the community to learn more about SMEs and to meet entrepreneurs in the region.

  • Forum and Discussions: Take Advantage of Nova Scotia’s Changing Workplace

    Halifax, Nova Scotia, Friday, June 12, 2015
    – Thursday, June 11, was the date of an economic forum organized by the Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ), around the theme Saisir les avantages du milieu de travail changeant en Nouvelle-Écosse (Take Advantage of Nova Scotia’s Changing Workplace). The event opened with a welcome from the CDÉNÉ’s Executive Director, Ms. Julie Oliver, followed by a presentation by the Honorable Lena Metlege Diab, Nova Scotia’s Minister of Immigration and a conclusion by Mr. Emmanuel Nahimana of Immigration francophone Nouvelle-Écosse. A video from the Halifax campus of Université Sainte-Anne was also launched. The video shares the Université’s positive experience in integrating immigrant and migrant workers into its team.

  • The CDÉNÉ Holds its 16th Annual General Meeting

    Halifax, Nova Scotia – Friday, June 12, 2015
    – The Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDÉNÉ) held its 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM) live from the Halifax campus of Université Sainte-Anne. All regions were able to follow the AGM via videoconference at the four other campuses of Université Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia (Tusket, Petit-de-Grat, Saint-Joseph-du-Moine and Pointe-de-l’Église). The AGM was an opportunity for the CDÉNÉ to report to its members on its activities and successes over the past year.
